Staging a world-class sporting event takes far more than elite athletes. It relies on experts across operations, media, hospitality, technology, horticulture and more to welcome over half a million guests onsite and reach billions worldwide. Using Wimbledon and The Championships as a case study, this workshop uncovers the breadth of careers that power major sporting events. Students will explore how Wimbledon operates year-round as a Members' club and visitor attraction, and how teams prepare for and deliver one of the world's most watched tournaments. Through real examples and practical guidance, students will gain insight into lesser-known roles in sport and leave with tips for next steps in their own career journey.
