KS3/4: Trailblazers in Tennis
Sporting history is full of stories of a diverse range of people who have overcome challenges and Wimbledon is no different. However, the path has not always been easy or simple for these athletes.
Trailblazers in Tennis shares the stories of athletes from Wimbledon's more than 150 years of heritage who demonstrate society's changing attitudes on issues of gender, ethnicity, and disability.
Session length: 4 hours, including lesson, tour, packed lunch break and Museum visit.
Session timings: 10:00-14:00
Leader requirements: 1 chaperone for every 10 pupils. Leaders/chaperones are required to stay with the group for the entirety of the visit.
Minimum numbers: 15 pupils
Maximum numbers: 70 pupils, split into 2 groups of 35 pupils.
Price per group: £185. Payment is due immediately online via credit or debit card.
